ARIZONA RESIDENTIAL LEADERSHIP CONFERENCE
pHILANTHROPY
This year for ARLC's philanthropy project, we will be creating plastic yarn (PLARN), which will be later crocheted into mats and given to those experiencing homelessness within the city of Flagstaff. Because these mats are made out of plastic grocery bags, they are not only resistant to degradation but also are water and wind-resistant. The PLARN Project is an initiative that has been adopted by many universities and cities around the United States in order to not only be more sustainable but help those in need.
For this project, we ask that each delegate brings 5 plastic grocery bags with them in good condition - no major holes or tears in the bag. Additionally, we ask that each delegation brings scissors for 1/3 of their delegates (if you have 12 delegates, you would bring 4 pairs of scissors).
If you bring plastic bags to support the PLARN project, you will receive spirit points!
